These are easy to install and are necessary tool for the security system. I like the fact when testing the alarm sounds from the smoke alarm as base station sending text, calling assigned phones, and outside alarm alerts! I don't much care for the shipping cost but the products and support are great.

they are easily added to the alarm. you need to check in the APP that the status, change the names, and the type to make sure they are correctly configured.
I just purchased my third Fortress Smoke Alarm. I live in a ranch and positioned one outside our bedrooms and the other at the top of the basement stairs. Then I realized that I should also put one in the garage too. I like that these are easily added to my Fortress Security System, and not only sound an alarm at the detector, but also have my base station send text, phone, and outside alarm alerts!
This sensor is necessary, it works, and is easy to install. I wish it had an option to hard wire power as well since most homes come equipped with smoke detectors that are wired for AC power, using the 9V battery as a backup. It is not very loud, but since it ties into your alarm system that will provide the necessary decibels to wake you from sleeping. Add a smart plug and now a fire also can turn on some lights in your main room to help you escape. Replace the cheap 9V battery (used to test) with a Lithium for many years of trouble free power.

Does this detect carbon monoxide as well??

This has been asked before but I'd like to reinforce the idea: are there hardwired, interconnectable versions on the way? Either way, these are great as nobody else seems to make an affordable, practical smoke alarm with remote self monitoring.

I have The Fortress GSM-B installed in my church. I am going to add smoke detectors to the system but needs up to eight (8). I would like to use yours, all eight if possible, but have read where AC detectors can be used in conjunction with yours, so that is an option for us. How many Fortress detectors can I use with my system?
