Do the window alarms have an on/off switch?
Hi Rebecca, Thanks for your inquiry. The door/window switches do not have an ON/OFF switch, however our motion detectors do. I hope this helps and please let us know if you have any further questions, thanks!
Can the main unit be plugged in to an AC wall socket so that it doesn't rely on batteries? Can I add a wireless or wired second siren to the main unit?
I apologize, unfortunately the stand alone systems (Safeguard and Guardian systems) do not have an AC power adapter, they only function with batteries and also are not compatible with any siren. Thank you for choosing Fortress Security Store, Cecilia
Does the key fob control the alarms to the smaller magnetic door/window sensors? Or do those go off, regardless of whether the system is activated?
Hello Jennifer, The remote will control the main safeguard unit, so it will determine whether system is armed or disarmed. The smaller contacts will respond to this and will only go off when armed. Thanks, Jessica Customer Service Manager
Hi, I have a problem with the Guardian, on the remote control when disarming the system, and then I open a door or window the alarm is activated. Victor.
Hi Victor, I'm sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with your Guardian. Do you see the button on lower left corner on your key fob? It should look like a house. Please press this button one time. Does your Guardian doorbell ring? If it rings, please try opening your door again to see if the alarm is activated, if it makes the siren sound please let me know. By doing this we are switching from alarm mode to doorbell mode as described in your Safeguard user manual. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Jack H.
What type of batteries does this system use?
Hi Madison, The Safeguard unit itself uses 2 AAA batteries and the door sensors that come with the preferred kit use 23A batteries. Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any further questions, thanks Jack
