Q.

Does this work with my GSM 3G 4G Wireless unit

A.

Hello, this will work with your Vea GSM 3g/4g system. Thank you, Cecilia.

Q.

Could you let us know the dimensions of each part of the sensor please? Thanks

A.

Hi, Mickey, The larger half of the sensor (the transmitter) is 7 cm tall by 2 1/2 cm wide, and has a depth of 1 3/10 cm. The smaller half of the sensor (the magnet) is 5 cm tall by 1 cm wide, with a depth of 1 3/10 cm. Thanks, Amanda, Fortress Security Store

Q.

i would like to add a door contact to my shed. My only concern is the winter temperatures can drop down into the single digits. Will that affect the contact?

A.

Hi Patrick, As long as the temperature doesn't deep in the negatives then the door contact should still work great in the shed. Thanks, Jessica

Q.

What kind of batteries do these sensors use

A.

Hi Ellel, The Safeguard itself uses 2 AAA batteries and the door sensors use 1 x 23A battery each. These batteries are included with the preferred kit. Hope this helps!

Q.

I have a 3g/4g system and I received 8 door contacts. 4 of the contacts work when you pull them apart and the other 4 work when you put them together. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong?

A.

Hi Will, Thank you for your email! I think I know what has happened with those contacts, and I'll be happy to help you configure them differently if you like. It sounds like when they were programmed initially, they were programmed "backward," so to speak; if you know which zones those four contacts are in, we can delete them, then reprogram them correctly. Here's how: From the main menu, select "Add Accessories." From the following menu, select number four, "Delete Detector." Enter the number of the zone your problem contact(s) are in. This must be in two-digit format, so if they are in zone 5, you will enter "0 5," then press the check mark. This will delete all the sensors from this particular zone. To reprogram them, perform the following steps: Put the two halves of the sensor you need to program together. Select "Add Accessories," then "Add Detector." Enter the desired zone number and press the check mark. Separate the two halves of the contact sensor. The panel will say, "Add successfully programmed." Repeat these steps for each sensor that needs to be reprogrammed. Let me know if you have any trouble with this! Regards, Amanda, Fortress Security Store
