Internal Siren Fortress Security Store Description
Linked to the main control panel, this loud (130 dB) siren will instantly sound in case the alarm is triggered by one of the wireless sensors and continue between one and thirty minutes until the system is disarmed. Connected directly into the main system, it does not require a power adapter. Designed to deter intruders and quickly alert of security breaches, the alarm is extremely loud and it can be painful to stand in its proximity for any length of time.Only one Internal Siren can be used with a system.

It is very loud and my only issue was that I wanted the siren far away from the main panel which is hidden, so I had to splice in so additional wire. However, this is easy to do and the unit is cheap so I'm not concerned with any warranty issues in doing so. Worked as a great replacement for the siren that was previously hardwired in my residence.
This thing is LOUD!
very easy to set up, easy to hide and loud enough to hear outside
Having the unit wired doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, it's just that the wire is a bit short(8') and this could lead intruders to the main panel to turn it off or unplug it. The upside is there's no interference with signals and it sounds immediately when the alarm goes off, compared to the wireless sirens, there is a delay. What I did was hook it up to an extra speaker cable I have laying around and ran it to the ceiling and pointed towards the soffit so the neighbors could hear when it goes off immediately. Im sure there are speaker extension cables with the right jacks/terminals that you could buy ready-made. I did the splicing and the good stuff since I didn't want to buy another cable
I wish the siren was not attached to the control panel. Could lead intruders directly to the computer room, where the panel, phone or router and modems could be damaged to silence the siren. The siren that is attached to the control panel is louder and more piercing than the remote horn. However, I bought the remote horn, never use the siren that came with the control panel. Would like to use them both.

Does this siren use a standard 3.5 mm plug? I ask because I would like to use a standard 3.5 mm male to female extension cable.
Hello Ray, Yes, this white plug in siren uses a standard 3.5mm plug. Thanks, Jessica Customer Service Manager
With the WiFi TSS and this internal siren, how does one turn off the arm/disarm chirp (which is far too loud)
Hi, Christian, To turn this feature off, go into the main panel and into Sensors. From there, go to Remote, and select the zones in which your key fobs are (probably the first few). In each zone, turn "sound" off (achieved by selecting the zone, then scrolling down into "sound"). Turning off "panel sound" in the bottom of each zone will disable the siren chirp when you use the main panel to arm or disarm, while turning off "sound" will disable it when you use the key fobs. This can be found on page 24 of the manual as well, in case you ever need it again! Let me know if I can answer any other questions! Regards, Amanda, Fortress Security Store
can I make the cable of the siren longer by cutting it and adding more cable? thanks
Hello Alejandro, You can extend the siren by attaching speaker wire to the siren wire. However, note that cutting the wire will void the warranty if the siren is damaged. Thanks, Jessica
