What is a SIM card and why would I need one?

A Fortress SIM card turns your alarm system into a cellular phone, and gives it the ability to make calls to any phone on any provider.

With an active SIM card in your alarm system, you can:

- Call and/or text multiple numbers when an alarm is triggered.
- Control your alarm system using the free mobile app.
- Call over the phone and control your system from anywhere.

(Without an active SIM card, your system will still function as a local alarm.)
