Activating Your New Fortress SIM Card
Having trouble activating your new SIM card from Fortress Security Store? We can help.
First, if you are using a mobile device, we recommend switching to a desktop browser, or using your mobile device to request the full desktop version of the website, and then proceeding. Currently, the SIM card activation for the new SIM cards is not available on the mobile website.
On our SIM card activation page, there are 2 areas on the left and right. Customers with SIM cards that have an "Act Fast Code" (matching the picture on the left) should use the left-hand side of the page to activate their SIM cards.
If your SIM card does not have an Act Fast Code, then you can use the right-hand side of the page to activate your SIM card, instead. Here are some pictures of the process.
Enter the last 6 characters from the SIM card (5 numbers and 1 letter). When the full number automatically appears, click on that number to populate the field. You can also see the "Click here for more information" to see details about billing and service before proceeding.
Note that service is for US customers only, who are within our coverage area.
Review and accept the Terms and Conditions, then click "Activate." You'll be presented with the following pop-up message:
You can read more information there, or click "Take Me To My Cart," or click the "X" button, to continue. Once in the Shopping Cart, you can apply any discount codes you may have, and then proceed to checkout.
When checking out, you'll need to register an account, or login to your existing account.
Once logged in, you can proceed with the checkout as usual. You'll receive a confrmation email with your order number, and then after some time (within 24 hours) you'll receive another email with the phone number for your newly activated SIM card. Once you have your SIM card's phone number, it is active and ready to be used.
