These are great and are setup (if done correctly) to trigger the alarm regardless of arm status. I have a few of them in bedrooms so that my wife and children have access to a powerful intrusion deterrent or to summon help (friends and neighbors also on auto-dial list) if needed. I simply put them on an easy to remember zone and told my friends that if the alarm calls with that zone, someone pushed the panic button. I would not have one of the Fortress Systems without this little cheap feature.

Is this compatible with the guardian system?

Hi, Jeff, The panic button is wireless, and transmits on a 433 mghz radio frequency. This particular panic button is intended to work with the Total Security Wifi system, but there are buttons compatible with all of our systems. To hook this up at a very small business, just looking for a button to press to sound am audible alarm to scare assailants away. Will this do the trick? Where does the sound come out? Anything else to buy?
