Using the siren as a squirrel/bird deterrent as well. Works great1
Review by Tony Miller

I'm trying to keep squirrels and birds out of the engine compartment of my pickup truck. I've placed the siren along with a motion sensor under the hood. The sensor would activate my Fortress Security doorbell. I'd press the panic button on my remote for my S02 system. The alarm scared the wildlife away. It only took two days and the doorbell hasn't activated since! Now I can use the siren as an human intruder alert!

Loud not bright
Review by LS

Plugged it in and it worked fine. Loud, but light shines down not out. We tried it in various places in our main room, high and low, including flipping it, but light was not visible as a deterrent from outside. Even inside the light was not much more than any other. We tired it with earmuffs and it didn't still seem a deterrent to or alerting of presence. Moved it to a back bedroom as a separate alarm there. Happy with that.

Plug-In Siren easy install
Review by RWF-IV

Like the other components in the Fortress system, this plug-n-play siren was easy to activate and quickly recognized by the base unit. It performs as described. I like the product and the fact that it is mobile if necessary.

How do you program this to the GSM system?

Hello! Here is an article with the programming steps for adding a Small Plugin Strobe Siren to the GSM alarm system: Please let us know if you have any other questions! Sincerely, Fortress Security Store

Sometime the red LED lights on this siren stay on. I can't find any information to explain why? I looked at the alarm log and nothing is out of the ordinary.

Hi Peter Usually the light on the siren will come on and stay on when the system is armed. If it is continuing to have issues, you can contact us at or 206.981.5371 Thanks, Jessica

How do you set it up for a SO2 system?

Hi Glenn, To program the siren to the S02 system, follow these steps: Make sure your system is disarmed. Hit the panic button on your keyfob. Plug in the siren then push the black button on the side of your siren until the lights turn and stay on. Disarm your system, and the siren will beep a few times in response. Unplug your siren for about 10-15 seconds Plug in again and Test! Thanks, Jessica
